Lewis Hamilton has revealed that he and Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc have put their recent Monza controversy behind them after holding a direct and honest conversation. The two drivers were involved in a first-lap collision at the Italian Grand Prix, an incident that contributed to Hamilton dropping down the order before eventually finishing sixth.
The Briton had previously voiced his frustration with Ferrari’s approach to allowing its drivers to race freely, particularly after the incident in Italy. Hamilton also pointed to Ferrari’s lack of straight-line performance compared with Mercedes as an area that needs attention. Rather than allowing those weaknesses to continue costing the team valuable opportunities, he believes Ferrari must improve its execution and consistency so it can take advantage whenever podium chances emerge.
Attention now turns to Madrid and the challenging new Madring circuit. The 22-corner venue is expected to demand maximum precision from the drivers, with little room for mistakes.
