FIA CONFIRMS MAJOR F1 ENGINE CHANGES AS SPORT MOVES AWAY FROM CONTROVERSIAL 50/50 POWER SPLIT

 

Formula 1 has officially approved a significant adjustment to its next-generation power unit regulations, marking one of the earliest and most notable revisions to the sport’s ambitious 2026 rule package.

 

After months of criticism from drivers, engineers, teams, and fans, the FIA has agreed to gradually reduce the reliance on electrical power and restore a greater role for the internal combustion engine.
