Ferrari star Charles Leclerc has opened up about the emotional toll of a difficult Monza weekend, admitting that the disappointment has affected him far more deeply than the physical impact.
Speaking directly to his fans, Leclerc revealed that although he is physically okay after the incident, dealing with the emotional side of the setback has been much harder. The pain was made even greater by the fact that it happened at Monza, Ferrari’s home race, in front of thousands of passionate Tifosi who had gathered to support him and the team.
“Physically, that wa
s a big one but I’m okay. Emotionally, it hurts even more for something like this to happen here at home, in front of all of you, the Tifosi.”
Leclerc also took the time to thank fans for the countless messages of support he received throughout the weekend. Despite the disappointment, he said the incredible welcome and backing from the Ferrari faithful made the experience at Monza incredibly special.
The Monegasque driver’s emotional message highlights just how much the Italian Grand Prix means to him and the Ferrari community. Monza was expected to be a weekend of celebration, passion and glory for Ferrari — but instead, Leclerc was left dealing with heartbreak in front of the very fans who had come to cheer him on.
Still, his message showed appreciation rather than anger, as Leclerc looked beyond the disappointment and focused on the unwavering support of the Tifosi.
A painful weekend for Leclerc has ended with an emotional message to Ferrari fans — and the Tifosi have once again shown why Monza is unlike any other race on the F1 calendar. 🏎️🔥🇮🇹❤️
