Former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher has been enjoying some downtime away from the racing world alongside his husband, Étienne Bousquet-Cassagne, with the couple recently spotted relaxing on a yacht in the glamorous French Riviera destination of Saint-Tropez.
The pair appeared happy and comfortable as they made the most of the sunny surroundings, taking in the Mediterranean atmosphere from the water. Their getaway offered a glimpse of a more private and relaxed side of Schumacher, who spent much of his career under the intense spotlight of Formula 1.
Schumacher, the younger brother of seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher, competed in Formula 1 from 1997 until 2007. During his career, he secured six Grand Prix victories and became one of the sport’s prominent drivers of his generation before eventually stepping away from full-time racing.
His relationship with Bousquet-Cassagne became public in 2024, when Schumacher shared the news with his followers. Since then, the couple have occasionally appeared together publicly, while largely keeping their personal life away from the intense attention that often surrounds the world of Formula 1.
The Saint-Tropez yacht trip comes as Schumacher continues to remain connected to motorsport through his commentary and analysis. Away from the paddock, however, the former driver appears to be embracing a quieter chapter of his life, enjoying time with his partner and making the most of the French Riviera sunshine.
