The Pittsburgh Steelers celebrated their triumph on social media in a lighthearted manner after defeating the Cleveland Browns 27–14 on Sunday. Roman Reigns prevented CM Punk from entering WarGames in a moment from WWE’s Survivor Series that the Steelers shared on X. The Browns’ logo was plastered onto Punk in the picture, while the Steelers’ emblem was placed on Reigns. With a nod to Reigns and The Bloodline, the post said, “Acknowledge us,” and included an index finger emoji.

But the Original Tribal Chief didn’t find the tribute funny; he only replied, “Niner gang!”

Tight end George Kittle used the index finger emoji in response to Reigns recognizing his team, the San Francisco 49ers. Reigns, a well-known Niners supporter, also responded to a fan account with the same emoji and the words “The Faithful,” emphasizing the connection between the OTC and San Francisco’s football team.

Prior to their season opener against the New York Jets, the 49ers honored Reigns during warm-ups by playing his entrance music, “I am Greatness,” on the field. They defeated the Jets handily, 32-19, motivated by the greatest act in sports entertainment history.

Reigns has strong ties to football in addition to being a fan. He was a defensive tackle for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets during his time in college. He was named to the First Team All-ACC in 2006 after recording 40 tackles and 4.5 sacks in his senior season. Reigns was signed by the Minnesota Vikings after going undrafted in the 2007 NFL Draft, however he was later cut after receiving a leukemia diagnosis. Reigns and competitor Cody Rhodes returned to Georgia Tech earlier this year to shoot a cinematic masterpiece.
