  • Utah obtains:

$1.3 million preserved for Andrew Copp
    2026 third-round selection
With Detroit and Utah trading rugged players and the Hockey Club receiving a draft pick, the proposed transaction would be intriguing.

Crouse is currently in the third year of a five-year contract worth $21.5 million with Utah. In the 2015 NHL draft, the 6’4″ forward was chosen with the eleventh overall pick. Crouse might contribute some offense and physicality as a middle-six forward for the Red Wings. He has skated in 27 games this season, scoring 4 goals and dishing out 1 assist for 5 points.

The Red Wings would trade Copp and a third-round selection in exchange. The forward is currently on the third year of a five-year contract worth $28.13 million. Given that they play a similar game, Copp would be a suitable substitute for Crouse. Copp has skated in 27 games this season, scoring 5 goals and dishing out 4 assists for 9 points.

Players for the Red Wings Are Not “Happy” When You Lose
Detroit wanted to break their postseason skid going into the season.

However, the Red Wings have had a difficult start to the season. Detroit is currently in seventh position in the Atlantic Division with a record of 10-13-4.

Star defenseman Mortiz Seider expressed his frustration with losing after the Red Wings’ 2-1 loss to the Colorado Avalanche.

“I believe that nobody is content in the locker room,” Seider remarked. Why ought we to [be]? We’re losing games that we could win, and we simply can’t figure out how to win them. That is obviously really annoying. We need to improve; we shouldn’t be deceiving ourselves. That shouldn’t get us down, though. Tomorrow, we arrive at the rink beaming, prepare to work, and take on two very close opponents.
